Green Beans with Garlic & Spice

Ingredients
  • 1 cup no-salt-added Chicken Broth
  • 3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 2 small jalapeno peppers (seeds removed), minced
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • ⅛ teaspoon cayenne
  • 1 pound whole green beans, trimmed
  • Lemon juice for drizzling
Instructions
  1. Heat ½ cup broth in nonstick pan.
  2. Add garlic, jalapenos, turmeric, cumin, and cayenne; cook until the garlic turns golden, about 3 minutes.
  3. Add the green beans and remaining ½ cup broth and stir well.
  4. Cover and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally for 5-6 minutes or until beans are tender.
  5. Drizzle with lemon juice and serve.
