Yields about 2 cups (or sixteen 1-tablespoon servings)

Marvelous Mayonnaise
Recipe type: Condiment
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • ½ teaspoon dried mustard
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • Cayenne, to taste
  • 1 cup flaxseed oil
  1. Combine the garlic, egg yolks, lemon juice, vinegar, and cayenne in a food processor or blender.
  2. With the machine running, slowly drizzle in the oil until the mixture thickens into mayonnaise.
  3. Keep refrigerated.

For Fresh Herbed Mayonnaise: Mix 1/2 cup minced fresh green herbs (dill, cilantro, parsley, etc.). Thin with a few drop so filtered water, if desired.
